June 28, 2026 - Call Update (updated July 4, 2026)
On our Lord’s Day, June 28, 2026, after Divine Service, a Call Service was held, during which Scripture was read, and prayers were lifted up that the Lord would guide our voters as we considered the three candidates selected for our new pastor.
Discussion and questions followed, and then, the first ballots were distributed and the first round of voting commenced. The results did not produce a 2/3 majority for any of the candidates. A second distribution of ballots were distributed, and a second vote was held.
This second vote yielded a candidate with a tally over the 2/3 required total to become our nominee. Pastor Jonathon Carl McCall was therefore elected as our candidate. A rising vote was then held to make the vote unanimous and bring us into peaceful accord in Christian love as brothers and sisters in Christ.
Our Head Elder placed a phone call to Pastor McCall, but had to leave a message asking for a return call. A short while later, Pastor McCall returned the call, saying he had been on a visit with a member of his congregation. Elder Michael Leveskas informed him that he had been elected to receive a Call to the Office of Holy Ministry as Pastor by Trinity. He replied that he would take the Call into prayerful contemplation upon receipt of the official Call documents.
The documents have been completed and sent out by overnight delivery today, July 1, 2026, and also a copy sent by email this evening. Pastor McCall intends to announce his decision to both congregations on or before Sunday, July 12, 2026.
We prayerfully await his decision, as he is guided by the Holy Spirit.”
February 15, 2026 - The Call Committee held its first meeting with discussion on the way forward
Chairman Threlfall will contact the Circuit Visitor and Southeast District and arrange a meeting. Purpose of this meeting will be to understand the Call process, what we are expected to provide, and what they will provide the congregation.
This phase is where the Call Committee does its core work. This includes preparing the Congregational Profile, receiving the Call List from the District President, interviewing candidates, communicating with the congregation, and prayerfully discerning which candidates to present at the Call Service. This phase is deliberate, prayerful, and shaped by listening—to God’s Word, to one another, and to the needs of the congregation.
Any congregational member can access the District Call site to see what congregations are Calling, which Ministers have accepted, and which Ministers have declined. We are now on this webpage as a "Calling Congregation".
After serving in the Pastoral Ministry for nearly 43 years, Pastor Olson has announced his retirement for the fall of 2026.
This page will provide you with information regarding the Call for a new Pastor to lead our faithful flock. According to our By-Laws Article I, the first thing the congregation must do is establish a Call committee. This committee is comprised of the Chairman (which is the President of the Congregation), the complete Board of Elders, and two members at large selected from the congregation appointed by the President.
The Call Committee was selected at the annual voter's meeting on Sunday, February 8, 2026. The members are:
Congregational Chairman - Grant Threlfall
Head Elder Michael Leveskas
Elder Anthony Link
Elder Micah Wilmoth
Elder Emeritus Jay Hill
Member at Large Luzia Trexler
